Refining

The Refinery Workshop is a four-stage, reservation-based production rail. A line reserves the whole batch before it starts, produces progressively, and keeps fractional yield carry so splitting elapsed time never changes the result.

  1. Crushing turns one of the five ores — Iron, Titanium, Tungsten, Iridium, or Nexium — into a primary industrial feedstock plus two byproducts.
  2. Leaching combines the primary feedstock with the appropriate Market reagent and, for advanced metals, a connector from the preceding family.
  3. Plasma Furnace converts powder to ingots at a strict 1:1 rate.
  4. Industrial Forming produces bars, sheets, beams, meshes, and matrices. Only matrices consume Matrix Binder.

Every core machine has five independently unlocked lines. Configure the recipe and batch size inline, then start it only when all inputs are available. Outputs collect to the Industrial Warehouse first and fall back to Station Cargo; a full destination pauses the line without losing progress.

Use Empty Line only after a line stops: it returns whole unconsumed inputs and completed buffered outputs atomically, while discarding fractional carry.
